VIII To Build up Service Awareness
and Provide Law Service with Excellent Quality and High Efficiency
Chengdu Municipal Judicial Bureau had actively guided lawyers and
notary offices to enlarge the operation scope of intellectual property
rights protection, and enhanced to protect intellectual property rights.
More than 30 local law firms including Sifangda,
Shoumin, Xinkaiyuan, Shenghao, and Chenggao have set up intellectual
property departments, especially the Shoumin Law Firm has undertaken
the main work of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee of Sichuan
Lawyers¡¯ Association. In 2004, lawyers in Chengdu
totally handled 368 cases of intellectual property
rights, and the notary offices notarized 67 cases
related to the protection of intellectual property rights.

Chengdu Office of Leading Group for Administering the City according
to Laws will put the laws and regulations that propagandized protection
of intellectual property rights into the goals and plans of popularizing
legal education, and positively promote citizens and corporations
in the whole society to build up the legal consciousness of protecting
the intellectual property rights.
