The Gold Disk Company of UESTC has the independent intellectual property of DICOM Gateway: 1. Support for large digital medical equipments Different large-scale digital equipments, like CT, MRI, DR, CR etc, from different companies can be integrated into standard network framework through the gateway, in order to realize network share and clinic share. 2. Support for analog medical equipments without DICOM standard Different analog equipments without DICOM standard from different companies can be integrated into standard network framework through the gateway, in order to realize network share and clinic share. 3. Support for server clusters Different servers from different companies can be integrated as upgradeable, high performance and centralized network server through the gateway. 4. Support for free arrangement and expansion of storage equipments Hospitals any further need not to take account of neither brands of storage equipments nor types of storage network. Now the focus is on the cost of hardware after using the gateway. 5. The Gold Disk company of University
of Electronic Science and Technology of China is the first limited company
of UESTC, and also is the scientific research industrial base of UESTC.
The Gold Disk company is funded by ¡°innovation fund of 1999¡± and ¡°2000
national-level Torch Program ¨CPACS system of hospital" of the State
Ministry of Science and Technology. The Gold Disk company has become
a member of the experts group, which is set up for the PACS standard
